Scheduling Your Appointment
To book your first appointment, you can either call our office directly at (515) 270-2924 or use our convenient online request form. While both methods are available, many patients find it easier to call and speak with our friendly staff. We recommend reviewing the “What to Expect” section below before making your appointment so you are well-prepared for your visit.
Whether you are a young person with your first injury or a sports injury, a baby boomer looking to regain your health, or a senior citizen looking to extend life and reduce your reliance on medications, we are here for you.
What to Expect: First Visit & Comprehensive Exam
After your exam, we prefer to thoroughly analyze your case. This means we’ll have you come back for a follow-up appointment to review our findings.
Please allow 45 minutes for this appointment. During this visit, we’ll review your X-rays and other exam results, answer any questions, and outline your personalized treatment plan. We’ll ensure you understand the plan and its steps. Your plan may include chiropractic adjustments, modalities, acupuncture (if you are willing to try) or other recommended treatments.
You will also be advised of our office procedures to ensure a rapid recovery and no wasted time.
- Your first treatment: If you are accepted as a patient, your care will usually begin during this visit. Your first treatment will be tailored to address your specific needs, setting the foundation for your path to recovery. We will also provide additional explanations and options for different types of treatments available at the practice.
- How much care is needed? Your initial care is focused on giving you pain or symptom relief as quickly as possible. Later, you will be given an estimate of how much future care may be needed to correct the underlying cause so that it doesn’t return. After you are much improved, you will be given more options for an endpoint in treatment. Many patients choose to continue care until the underlying cause has been corrected.
If you choose maximum correction later in your care, we will recommend a schedule of care to help you prevent future issues and maintain good health.
Treatments are typically scheduled three times a week, and each session lasts approximately 25 minutes. Follow-up visits focus on continuing your care and monitoring your progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to help you maintain maximum spinal health.
